Emmi >Improved User Experience

Getting user buy-in is important with any application. This is particularly true when the application can be viewed as being part of a service offering designed to attract new customers and increase revenue.

A Clean, Unambiguous Interface

It is essential that an application presents the user with an interface that is clean and unambiguous. To accomplish this, Emmi presents the user with only the interface tools needed by the user to perform their assigned role. Functional ambiguity is minimized because no tools are “grayed out” or seemingly “missing from the screen.” The interface is uncluttered, easily understood and attractive.

Streamlined Application Navigation

In most cases, Emmi will not be the only system used by a user during the course of the day. In many instances, these systems will represent a mix of terminal, browser and standard Windows interfaces. Emmi makes the switch from one application to another easy by providing the user with navigation tools that reflect their preferred navigation method – Mousing, TABing or Access Keying.

Incorporation of IPA-Specific Elements

Emmi reserves a portion of the system interface for use by the IPA to incorporate non-Emmi content. Examples of “non-Emmi content” might include – access to related systems, pertinent news such as market trends or value-added tools such as calculators or schedulers.

Problem-Free Application Access

Because the end-user will often be a non-AIP employee, the Emmi application must be able to be easily accessed by external users. Emmi is totally firewall transparent and requires zero application installation. Any authorized user can access the system using nothing more than a PC with a current version browser and access to the Internet.
