Emmi
>Reporting Power
The issuance and
management of money market instruments is
really all about the movement of money and,
depending on whether you are the buyer,
seller or IPA, your reporting needs are
going to vary. Emmi was designed to provide
each user type with the exact information
they need presented in the manner that suits
the individual user’s needs.
A True Custom Reporting
Tool
Emmi allows all users that
have reporting right with the ability to
easily define custom reports and save them
as a menu option. Each custom
report has the following features:
Creation
of Custom Queries
| A custom query that
can make use of pre-defined functions
such as the date functions for “today,”
“tomorrow” and “today-to-end-of-month.”
The query can also make use of static
parameters such as “show me
all interest bearing instrument”
or runtime specified parameters such
as fill-in-the-blank or select-from-dropdown.
The interface simplifies the process
of building complex queries

Powerful
Sorting and Grouping Options
Simply retrieving
specified information is useless if
it isn’t presented in a manner
that makes sense to the task at hand.
Emmi aids the user by allowing multiple
levels of sorting and grouping and
sub-grouping. A comparison example
of how a single set of information
can be sorted and grouped differently
to meet different needs would be:
| |
Example
1 |
| |
• |
Sort
by Date and then by Issuer |
| |
• |
Group Dates by
Month |
| |
• |
Group by Issuer
within each Month |
| |
|
|
| |
Example
2 |
| |
• |
Sort by Issuer
and then by Date |
| |
• |
Group by Issuer |
| |
• |
Group by Month
within each Issuer |
|
Display
of Details and Calculations
| The information
presented by the two previous examples
can be made more meaningful based
on what the users specifies as requirements
for the creating and presentation
of “details” and mathematical
calculations.
For instance, in Example
One the user may not be interested
in displaying the Issuer, Broker/Dealer,
Yield, Redemption and Par
for each transaction (the details),
but they are interested in the sub-totals
for each Issuer by Day
and totals of all Issuers by Month.
In addition to the
ability to display or hide the “details”
that make up calculations such as
“Total Par” or “Total
Proceeds,” the user can specify
fields to be calculated for the
display of averages, mean, highest
value and lowest value. The report
creation interface simplifies the
process by providing a thumbnail
abstract for each selection the
user makes. |
Meaningful
Delivery Options
Reports can be displayed
on the screen, printed, saved to
disk as a modification-restricted
PDF file or streamed directly into
an Excel spreadsheet. The view/print/save
options ensure immediate access
to current information as well as
on-hand access to secure historical
data.
The ability to specify custom report
criteria that can be run at any
time with the returned data streamed
directly into an Excel spreadsheet
provides users with a method of
easily exporting data into related
support systems such as an issuer’s
treasury management workstation.
|
Emmi adds real value to
an IPA's services by providing users (IPA,
issuer and broker/dealer) with the ability
to create one-time or menu-driven reports
that address each user's individual needs.
Emmi can further enhance this value proposition
by allowing the user to create a report framework,
specify a schedule for the reports to be automatically
run and a distribution list for the reports
to be automatically delivered by email. |
