AMIC Research, Inc was created in 1972 to serve the transactional needs of the financial services industry. Since the introduction of internet-based communications in the late 80s as a backbone for transactional and information exchange systems, we have branched out to include specialized security technologies.

Today, AMIC is a key supplier of "continuously available infrastructure" technology, specialized trading systems and financial objects components.
1970s
Michael Conigliaro leaves the NSA where he served as a senior field analyst.
Mike forms AMIC and applies his analytical skills to support the financial services industry.
IBM System/3-based back office services are offered to the brokerage community.
   
1980s
Systems are converted to run on IBM S/36.
AMIC adds stock loan services.
   
1990s
Systems are converted to run on IBM AS/400.
AMIC becomes the first service bureau to offer DTC settlement services.
Richard O'Connell joins AMIC as CTO/Product Manager.
AMIC becomes a provider of IP-based "Wintel" trading and security products.
AMIC serves on DTCC's "PIMS" steering committee.
AMIC offers its first trading system for banks.
Ray Carbone joins AMIC to market "Continuous Availability Platform" strategies.
   
2000+
AMIC ships its first banking system for international trade management.
Continuous availability technology is offered.
